Our Mission at Honeymoon Meadery is to provide our customers with the highest quality honeybee products packaged on our farm in the Okanagan Valley and sourced from passionate local beekeepers. We aim to educate and inspire customers with the amazing world of the honeybee, supporting honeybee health and awareness around the world.

We at Planet Bee are dedicated to continually improving the sustainability of our business both environmentally, socially, and economically. We are proud to have achieved Green Tourism Silver accreditation as of June 2016 and will continue working towards gold in the coming years.

About Us

Honeymoon Meadery was established in 2011 within Planet Bee Honey Farm in picturesque Vernon, British Columbia.
The term Honeymoon references the Norse tradition of consuming Mead for one cycle of the moon following marriage. The father of the bride would supply the newlyweds with enough Mead to satisfy them during this 28-day cycle. Drinking Mead can alter a woman’s bodily PH in such a way that the conception of a son is more likely, something highly prized in the Viking age. This story is the inspiration behind our name, Honeymoon Mead.

All of our Meads are hand-crafted within the walls of our honey farm, Planet Bee. We believe in using natural ingredients, locally-sourced whenever possible, in our wines and strive to bring you unique flavor combinations to enjoy.
